In the next panel, they're both standing in a police station - with Batman's reaction making it clear that it's not a time skip and that Green Lantern has just casually teleported them both there. After Batman and Green Lantern discover a murder, Green Lantern says that they should report what they know to the police, and Batman argues that given his reputation he can't just walk into a police station to report a crime.
